Thursday night – Making Sake

Super busy day with both jobs. Managed to knock off at a fairly normal time.. took advantage of Gabe’s being here to help him make Sake from a kit he got last xmas. 

It was pretty easy so far..   its made from white rice. white raisens and white sugar.. 

it’s about  3 month process. so it’ll be fun to watch.. and hopefully fun to drink !

 

first everything for the brewing gets sterilized. 

 

then we diced up the white raisons 

 

rinced the rice 

 

then bagged the raisons and rice in muslin and tied it up

 

then we added warm water. 

 

a wilde yeast inhibiter. 

 

and two poinds of domino’s finest 

 

then a little acidifier  stuff ? 

 

then seal it up for 2 days.. when we open to add the yeas t. 

 

on goes the airlock.. now time to wait !
