life continues to swirl around me.. lots of interesting stuff.. too much to take in, sometimes. Had a nice break today when we all stopped to celebrate the successful shipping of a big computer system that we’d been working on for several years.. It’s called P7.. and even though it was design mostly in Austin. many folks in Burlington had a  hand in it’s creation.    It’s a big thrill for most of us to see the chips and systems that we’ve been working on so long. So much of what we experience of these things is on a comouter scrren.. holding it your hand makes it more real !

My boss, John and my peer Susan drove up from NY to host the event. It was very good seeing them both.   Mostly we just talk by hone. in fact.. I’m usually the only person in my department in Vermont.. Today there were 5 of us !

We ended the celebration by getting a bunch of the management folks up in the fron t singing a version of ‘Good Time Rock and Role’   modified to be about the new System..

We sounded terrible.. but hey.. .. have I ever passed up a chance to embarrass myself publicly ?
