Tuesday night – pulsation

Another long day at Vegas. I'm really enjoying this conference. I'm learning so much about this area of the company and I'm meeting so many new people. It's a lot to take him but I really like.
The days are long with lots of walking from here to there but it's so interesting doing people watching as you walk
I did manage to get up for running late this afternoon which felt great. Everywhere there were piles of pseudo-porn, the small pamphlets that people hand out with escort services. There's something artistic about seeing all of these airbrushed bodies on the litter on the ground. What a surreal place.

The big treat in the evening was a concert by Elvis Costello and fallout boy. I stayed through fallout boy but left soon after Elvis started. I saw him last summer he's great but I've had to go meet my friend Leon for dinner.

the line to get into the concert was over 10,000 people long to get it. I actually pulled rank get in early and felt bad about it.

Monday night – pulse

Greetings from Las Vegas… the weather is beautiful the people are beautiful it's just so glitzy that it makes me wonder if my home in Vermont and this on the same planet. A very big consolation is how many friends I'm seeing here at the conference and how interesting it is. I met Ibm's post conference and we've really announced some exciting stuff. I'm saying that as a geek not as an IBM employee.

I had quite a bit of work fun at the dev@pulse event. My friend Ben was there some other great guys showing some Internet of things stuff they had quad copter's, raspberry pies, virtual-reality glasses all very very cool stuff. I'm excited to be working on this.

Here's node red

Saturday night – small denominator = medal dominator

One of the things I love about living in Vermont (and there are many) is the ‘small denominator’ effect. our state is so small.. and so full of interesting people that the math usually makes us either best r worst at almost everything. You’ll rarely see tiny Vermont hugging the middle of the pack on things like school test scores, gun ownership, or vegetarians per capita.. we’re always a standout…

Today was no exception.. At dinner Gabe told us that Vermont has by far the highest number of total Olympic medals per capita than any other state in the union. Not too shabby.. .. it’s not even that bad if you take out the ‘per capita’ part.. I think we’re 7th…

Go vermont !
