Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Vacation! I took today at half speed. Woke up early but stayed in bed. A short run with the dogs and Diane… Puttered around the house all morning. Lunch with my friend Dave. Home and then a nap. And then some more puttering.
Short meeting in the early evening and home and asleep on the couch by 10.
Two spoons of ice cream and now up to bed.
Doesn't get much sweeter than that.

Never a dull moment around here. Tonight Gabe’s friends jack, jack and will show up. The main fun tonight was copping will’s hair into a mullet and then dying it with koolaid.
first .. check the internet for styes.
then wash the premullets hair
then start cutting !

then into the tub for some purple koolaid risnse..
OK.. never have to watch that again !

After such a busy week, little to report today . I spent almost the entire day glued to the couch watching the fire and working on my end of year report for work..The high point of the day was getting to sit down with my family for a late lunch/early dinner.. at 3:30 pm. would that be Linner in the same way that half breakfast and half lunch is Brunch ?
whatever it was.. it was so good having my family here..

Very nice and slow day.. our friends linda and david are up from endicott, which is really nice. The only thing we did today was another hike up Bolton for the folks who couldn’t come with us on Thursday. there were about 20 flks who braved the wind and ice today to climb to the top.. there was a light dusting of snow.. not enough for them to open..
Max, gabe and I climbed the rickety tower for the biannual ritual.. we took a shot of red bul for our brother and sonl, placed a samstone and light a big aerial burst mortar
Gabe assumed the position… (its pretty scary to be right next to a mortar when you’re 3 folks on a 4 foot by 4 foot rickety platform
We couldn’t get the damn thing to light. the three of us ended up hovering around the fuse.. we used up two lighters.. then gabe had to climb down and find another.. eventually the thing took off.. just in time.. we were frozxen solid by that pint.. and all of our phones had died from the cold.
we came home to lily’s birthday party.. lily had decided to have a photo shoot party and our friend joanne was the photographer..
the yoga space was full of preteen girls and a ton of costumes.. (sorry no pics of the girls.. cuz I forgot to ask them and their parents for permission).. Gabe, luke and I dressed up and took a walk down the runway..
we spent the rest of the day sitting in the living room staring at the wood stove as it snowed outside.. .. ahhhhh so nice.
now were sitting here doing more samstones.. a very good day…
