Thursday night – Sam would be 34

Today our wonderful Sam would have celebrated his 34th birthday..  “Would have” sounds so strange when I say it. .. or even think it as im doing now.

I think of that boy all the time.. his kindness, his love.. and his mischievous sense of fun. He’s still vey present in all of our lives

We market the day as we usually do , with a jike. Diane and I went up to the fire tower with our neighbors dog Oaklee…. it was a beutiful day.. Having Oklee with us, meant we had to go up the tower one at a time.

We brought one of Sam’s red bull cans that we’d made into an ornament. DIane found a great place to hang it on teh way up the tower

diane foudn a great place to hang one of Sam’s redbull ornements on the way up the tower

I worked at hoem the rest of the day.. My old freinds Paul and Paul came by whcih was great. I dont see them much .. but love it whe I do. Paul and Paul went with me on my freist shoppping trip in vermont.. I was tryign to buy a bed, and ended up with a ‘Wate and Fate” scale that told your fortune and your weight when you put in a penny.. I still have it !

Around 6, some freinds showed up for a Sam dinner. Hannah and Nate braught some foraged moreels.. we cooked them up. and at them.. yum !

then a nice low key dinner

And Dianes amazing Carrot cake.. which was Sam’s favorite .. for desert

Monday night – shelbourne museum

Wonderful lazy beautiful day. Diane. Rafe, Lolo and I started with a really nice long visit to the shelburne museum. I can remember a time i’ve explored so many nooks and crannys of that place.. it just goes on an on.. and it as such cool stuff.. a glass waling cane collection ?!  19th century wind up robots ?! Leeches ?

from there we took a short visit to show them fluffy…

then we headed down town to walk along the lake shore includign a nice dinner right on the water..  then a walk up and down church streen.

One nice thign about having good freinds visit is that you do things in your own town ypou rarely make time to do on your own !
