Weve been having so much fun with our neighbeors AJ. Alex and Carlee’s dog Oaklee.. They have begun lettign us take Oaklee for walks and runs. which we knwo she loves.. shes a bundle of really fun energy !

We let our asparagus go to seed.. and now its a jungle.. Gabe tells us in germany they use the word Asparagus Tarzan (Spargeltarzan) to talk about somone who’s tall and skinny. here’s our Spargeltarzan !

The fireflies tonight were amazing.. must be the weather.

at 9am I arrived at the Saint Catherine of Siena Church in Shelburne for the funeral service for my friend Bernard… He was an amazing guy. I respected hi so much … A professional musician who got a full ride at Julliard, a commercial airline pilot who then went back and got a PhD and a field he invented, which is pilot psychology. He was an amazing bicyclist and artist… when he left beta a few weeks later, he developed pancreatic cancer and he’s had a really amazing year of being with his family, riding bikes, etc., until it all caught up with him. A good friend rebar/Aaron has been with Bernard and his family all through the way I have so much respect for him.

Immediately after Bernard’s mass, I drove back to Richmond to the congregational church for the memorial service for a good friend Gina… Gina was a funny and fun lady… She was always smiling cracking jokes laughing… And this spirit of her memorial service was that. There were some great stories told and the mood was both sad and joyful.

Gina had requested that everyone wear flowery clothes and that they would have a garden party after the memorial service. We all were there in our flowery finest. It was great seeing some of our old friends. Here’s Ralf who is getting married.

lots of yummy food downstairs.. then over to the haddocks for the garden party. 

I dont think I took any pictures att the garden party.. it was sweet and upbeat

In the day that I was gone, Diane painted the door of the barn blue… The same color as the house trim. It looks so good . the barn is beutiful wiht its new coat of paint 

dianws gardens were magnificent .. I

We took our neighbor doag Oaklee out for a dash p to the windo. she loves jumping in all the creeks and puddles . Having her next-door, it’s really great… We’re getting our doggie fix without having to own a dog !

Later this afternoon, Mason came over… He’s making an automatically opening window for his aunt Jody… I helped him get his wiring done for his electric actuators. Always fun talking to him and working with him.

Tomorrow’s gonna be a tough day… Two funeral services first for my friend Bernard and the second for our friend Gina…
