Another great day of talks at the FOE conference. I’m really learning a ton and enjoying meeting all these very smart people. At the end of the conference, we got tours of soem of the research facilities at Penn who are our hosts this week. .. We saw some fun robotics demos.. including a view of one of the worlds smallest robots.. .. see it below on the face of a penny !. I have movies of it running below.. .

Today was day 1 of the FOE conference. my dear friend Ruchir gave openign comments from IBM as the sponosrand my friend Tsu_Jae gave welcoem from the NAE. Thsi si a conference that brings together young promising researchers from academia and industry. We will hear talks of 4 topics: brain computer interfaces, quantum computing, fusion and electric flight.. all topics I love .. and i’d love to learn more on.
In addition to great talks.. we had lots of time to network with the other attendees.
It was a wonderful and illuminating day !

I took gabe to the airport this morning.. he’s a busy guy.. trying to finish two papers.. he’s glad he made it here for friend Jacks wedding.
Later in the day I flew to Philly for the start of the NAE Frontiers of engineering conference. I was there representing both IBM and the NAE.. I’m supwer excited about the oppertunity to attend !
