We had most of the day to ourselves so we headed to Saranac Laketo do soem conaing. Saranac lake is much more ‘real’ than lake placid.. we enjoyed checkign it out. We rinted a nice light weight 2 person canoe and headed out into meadow lake for a nice 3 hour paddle and picnic. 

On the way back we stopped to see our freind Shannons summer house, met her neighbor and checked out Shannon’s favorite ice cream place !

THis evenign was the welome reception for the wedding. We got to meet lots of Lefy and Pattrics family and freinds. Lexy’s Unclude is our old freind.. and my former boss, Gary. It was great reconnecting with Gary and his family !

We also got to see Martha’s family whom we’ve met before.

We came over to Lake Placid last night so we could join Lexy and Patrick on a pre wedding weekend hike up Algonquin moutnain. We were a small group as we started up through the fog and smokey haze. It was a nice hike.. nice to get to know the other hikers. no views because of the smoke.. at the top we opted to take the Wright Mountain peak instead of Algonquin.   Somr interestign views of recent landslides. 

AFter the hike we went and checked out lake placid.. a nice settign around Echo lake.. Very  touristy though.  every spot on the lake had big hoses or commercial spaces.. very little public access.   they did hve  a cool tobagan run. 

Tomorrow the real wedding stuff starts..

After work today. DIane packed up the car, dropped off some stuff at Fluffy then headed across the lake to Lake Placid for Patrick and Lexys wedding weekend..

After work I went over and checked on the Loop again.. I got to officially meet the guy who runs CMC Tucker, who is my freinds Derrick’s girlfreind Emas brother.. Super nice guy.. and super nice that he’s letting skunk an Claire assemble Loop  in his parking lot !

On the way home I heard a story on NPR about a guy whes tryign to catalog all the old schoolhouses in Vermont. I saw in thhis website that he has our hopse on it.. but his info is way out of date

I wonder if all the other school house owners are workign on moving their bat populatiosn ourt of their towers too ?
