Gabe is flying in today for the first of two weddings. he’s in the middle of publishing his tehesis and writing a new paper.. but eh couldnt miss his freind Jacks wedding.. 


Looking forward to seeing him.. even though it’s only been about a week scince the four of us were all together in the dert. 

I’ll take my kids whenever they want to be here 🙂

TOnight we had our annual in person VASE  (Vermont Academy of Science and Engineering ) board meeting. Our fearless leader Grace hosted us in her beautiful place in ferrisberg.. she’s got a great view of the adirondacks from there. 

I really enjoy my fellow board members and i’m glad of all we’ve gotten done in VASe over the past few years . especially what we’ve doine with our STEM grants.

I took a break at lunch to go visit John D and his son Tom. John is 99 and 1/2 year s old. He’s a brilliant material scientist.   he found me thoruhg Genrator. He has soem very cool electrostatic particle seperators that he’s designed over his long careers. He’s looking for soemone to collaborate with>>

He gave me soem really great demos.. and I got to hear abotu his long career in glass, ceramics and metal poweders.. we had so much fun geekign out..

I also got to meet his son Tom .. TOm and I have a whoel bunch of common freinds.. its amazing we’ve never met !

I’m really happy to have them both  as  friends !
