Today was another day of prepping around the house.

 My big accomplishement was descalling the coffee maker.. the most important gear in the whole house. It involed using chemicals that suggessted using full hazmat gear.. not sure what was in there.. but it did make the coffee taste better afterwards !

This afternoon Max and Violet arrived. My job was to video when nova and violet met ..

So nice having max here !.    Becky’s coming in Monday.. So nice to have everyone together..

Gabe is head’s down on prep for monday.. so he’s still at work.. Max, violet, nova , diane and I had dinner  about a block from the street..  I love that portland is so dog freindly !

Tomorrow’s the big day !!!!
i’m nervous and excited..   !!!!  .. (more excited than nervous).. I know that Gabe will do great !

Gabe is heads down this weekend prepping for his defense on Monday. so we’re spending our weekend prepping for the festivities planned for after

in running errands, I enjoyed soakign up portland culture !

Max is on his way up.. driving up with our granddog violet..  violet is goign to meert our other granddog nova for the first time. Should be fun ! we gott some pics from the road

we aew on doggie daycare duty here .. too

we are seeing gabe just long enough to keep him fed and watered..

love wakign up in portland.. flowers and attitude everywhere .. !

we came across an end of school festival at the middle school around the corner from our airbnb. middle school rock band sounded great !

Today was Gabes hooding ceremony.. Its when all the studentsfrom OHSU walk the stage and get their diploma and , for the PhD’s .. the hoods for their regalia. Each program in each university has their own hood with their university and department colors..   All the professors were wearign their regalia from all their different rpgrams.. super fun and colorful to see them all. ..

It’s quite the spectacle..

Gabes day is a little strange as his PhD defense is not till next monday.. so technically he hasnt graduated.. but they let him walk anyway.. which was great.. !

Gabes freind Jen.. Who is also from Richmond and went to preschool with Gabe graduated in the same class… It’s pretty remarkable to have two kids from small town of Vermont

then it was Gabe’s turn !

we are SOOOOO proud of that boy !!!!!
