Tonight we had a great dinner at ben and Tatti with  Rebar, Shosh , Gizzo and Laurne. Tatti was sick sow we only got to say hi to her form a distance.. It was fun all cooking together.. 

after dinner we headed down to the barn to have a work/play session wiht our new project ‘the blob’ .. I wish (!!!!) I could show you pictures.. but its not my project to show. As soob as its public, i’kl be sure to share the pics.. 

trust me.. it’s really, really awesome.. its Bens idea, Rebar’s wonderful mechanical design and my electronics.. so far so good.

THere’s a huge solar storm goign on and we’ve been told to look out for auroras..   As it happens.. I woke up at 4:30 and couldnt sleep so I headed out saide. if you squint you can ssee the pretty colors of an aurora !

had a good day at work.. even after waking so early.. got home in time for yoga

Time to head home.. we’ve really enjoyed our stay here. we took one last walk aroudn the very cold and windy feild

then an uneventful flight home.. though a very long delay in Dulles.. whihc we passed very peacefully in both the turkish air and emirates lounges.. (love star alliance)

got home to aurora alerts.. didnt see anything.. but its pretty anyway !

We had a fun, peaceful and chilly day in Kansas .   The place is so flat. which makes for awesome sunrises adn sunsets. here’s sunrise

 

diane took me on a tour of some of the quilts denise has made.. each one is a work of art.. there  were 30 just on two beds upstairs.. no idea hwow many others are hidden in the house

mid day our nephew michael cam e over.. super good seeign him !

then we spent some time readying our 2014 honda CRV to transfer to Max and Becky .. it’s been a very good car.. I get sentimental about parting with things.. though super happy to be passing it along to max and becky.. its a great car for hauling stuff which will help becky in her business.

We ended the evening by feeding Michaels 20 year old turtle.. !
