Happy Mother’s Day to all you MoM’s out there. Sending outlive to all the wonderful moms in my life.  to my wonderful Diane. Judy , Mary, Marcia, Shaun, Madeline, Min.. and all you others ! We wouldn’t be here without you !

In the spirit of the day.. my mom found this wonderful letter my dad wrote to his parents about meeting her (my mom).. Super cute.. .

Our family of late sleeper were up and stirring by about noon.. so we all get together for a mothers day lunch ‘pink fish’ and bagels.. another family tradition

We all went down to the art museum to see an art fair.. it was nice all hanging out on such a sunny day !

The this evening we went to John and Mary’s club.. 

Finally back to John and Mary’s for some mother’s day gift magic.

My sibs and I decided to make this a special mothers day for our ma.. so billy and I flew in to surprise her

Got there early .. headed to Mary and Johns.. Got to take their sweet dog belle for a walk 

The idea was to lure my mom over to mary’s at 1pm to surprise her.. It worked !

It was nice that this was Saturday so we all got to spend today together as well as Sunday .. We went and watched Theo play lacrosse

Tonight we had a huge sushi dinner .. as is our custom when we’re all together

 

Tonight was supposed to be another great aurora  night so billy, Mary and I drove out to the less populated areas outside miniopolis to see if we could catch a glimpse

We looked.. but (we thought) didn’t see anything,
Until I looked at my pics.. Looks like we did !

I spent the whoe day workign with Diane in the garden ..We were celibrating our own Mother’s day early  because I am goign to be at my moms in Minneapolia on Sunday. 

It was a great day.. started with a very fast hike around libbys look.. beutiful spring out (yay) Saw our first black  flies (yuck!).. 

 

Marvelled at all the things folks had found on the trail that were still  looking for their owners !

I’m not the gardner in our family.. but it was so fun workign with diane out there .. The big project is building and installing 6 new 4’x8′ rasied beds.. ssembly was easy.. dianess stil got the hard job of gettign them settled in the garden before the dirt comes next monday 

 

One cool thing diane foudn today were these rhubarb flowers. !.. they look other worldly

FInished the day with nice sushi dinner with our good  friend and  former housemate  kyle W.. Had fun tryign to translate the wording inside our cups. 

 

So nice just having a day together.

Quick haircut this morning.. even with little hair.. it still needs cutting. Always love talkign to Deb who cuts my hair.. .. she has a little tribute to sam on her window..

saw my hair clippings next to the previous person(s)..   Quite a color contrast !

When I got home from work today, something inspired me to take a picture of every one of the beutiful flowers diane has in her garden. Not a small task..   I gave up taking pics after 60.. but I think you can get the idea 🙂 

People know our house by Dianes flowers.. (not by our spooky belltower). I think thats so awesome !
