Our friend Sho arrived today. He’s going to be satying with us for a couple of weeks . Diane met Sho at a yoga retreat in Costa rica in 2010/ // and we’ve all been friends ever since. If my memory serves me, we havent seen Sho in person since 2019 when he was living in NYC.
It will be fun having him here.. We celebrated by enjoying the beutiful outside weather.. In the late afternoon we went to our freind Woody’s place (mt Foolery) to see a great concert by Dave Keller, a local rock and blues legend. Woody’s place is so beautiful..
drizzly day.. we used it to settle back into the house..
I am trackign Fluffys path back from the Desert. SHe’s in Wtoming now. I haven’t talked ot anyone much, but I heard it was a great burn.. FLuffy performed well both as a truck and as a sound. light and fire installation. I was glad to hear that botht he lights and fire had worked well..
not much else happened today. In the evening we went to a really nice goign away party for our freinds Matt and Hope who are moving to Japan to teach english. Matt’s dad bill died a few months ago.. so there was a lot of emotion in the household.. THye are goin rto have a great time !
Woke up with jet lag hours.. so diane and I took a quick hike up to duxbury window to shake off our travels
I had to make a quick stop to see eliot at the Echo shop because of a project i’m helping on for work for the upcoming aviation felid days. Alsways great seeing eloit.. One cool thing about visiting him now is that all the Echo Museums fish are living in the warehouse whiel their new aquarium is being built.. I got to talk to all the fish visitors in a ware house house !
Spent the day settlign in. catching up on work, etc.. Late afternoon Diane, Deb and I headed down tot eh South End Art hop its when all the art folks along pine street show off their stuff.. there’s music, food trucks.. and lots and lots of people.. This year I was not involved with any projects.. so I just got to hang out and see people.. Super fun !
We had a super early flight this morning.. we took the hotel shittle tot he airport , got through cutoms and got on the plane to Zurich. Gabe was on the same plane as diane and I were .. We got to Zurich and Diane and I had a short layover, while gabe ha a longer layover.. We got him ointo the nicest Lufthansa lounge and left him there to eat and drink in luxury…
Diane and I got on our flight and she was sitting right behind me. was fun !
the flights were pretty easy.. we got to IAD ealry enough to get an ealier flight hoem which meant we got back to VT in late afternoon instead of near midnight. Tim and Jen picked us up.. |
