TOday was really fun. It was the first day of this year’s BetaLabs. It’s a program my freind Tyler came up with that brings high school kids tofgether to work on projects with Beta and the Generator makerspace. Two places I love. Last year we did it with a single school: Spaulding High School in Barre. This year we worked with our grat partner LaFran (aka Michelle LaFrancis) to pull in kids from other schools thrugh their school to work programs. THrough the year these students will learn abotu the sceince of electric flight then work with us to design and build a techcnial project aroudn those sceinces. Last year we really enjoyed seeing what the students came up with.. and helping them design-break-redesign and build. This year looks even more fun with more students…
Work today was fun. I spent a good part of the day catching up after being gone on vacation and doing some repair on our exhibits. It’s really nice to see my friends there..
We were both pretty jetlagged today as the pace of the last 6 weeks caught up with us.
THis afternoon for the first time we got to watch our neighbor Carley come home from Kindergarten. She is getting off at our house, because if she stayed on the bus ti get dropped at her house.. (which is next door).. it would take 40 minutes more !
Her mom alex comes over to meet her.. She loves school !
We spent the day working around the house in prep for max and becky and gabe’s visit next week. A little before sunset we decided to hike bolton to see if the foliage was changing up there
We got home last night and went to be early. Linda and david left early this morning. It has been a great adventure and so much fun with them. We really enjoyed their company.. We aree good and easy ravel companions and seemed to like the same things.
Diane and I took advantage of buing up early to go hike up to Duxbury window. Our bodies craved being outside.. It was great seeing the first leaves changing
We got hoem and foudn that opne of the road crews had accidentlay lost a sign in our front yeard.. it sauid “Be prepared to stop”..

sut the right message.. for us.. We’ve just come off a torrent of fun bussiness.. fluffy build, burning man (for me)., moms 90th biurthday and this trip to italy.. We have one more burst of happy bussiness coeming next week when max, becky and gabe are all in town.. After that maybe life returns to normal.. whatever that means..
I guess we need to “prepare to stop” at some point too 🙂
