The rest of the family came in today for Mom’s birthday.. My brothers family (the Texicohn’s) showed at Marys mid afternoon.. they always bring the fun. It was my brother Billy, my sister in law Shaun, and there kids Betsy, Berto, Billy and Chris.. Son Ben is a Nerology resident on duty this weekend so he and his wife Sammy  couldn’t make it (or so we thought 🙂   We spent the afternoon family-ing

 

Later in the day we all converged at my Mom’s for our traditional Cohn family  Sushi dinner.. we hjd a ton of food and it disappeared almost immediately..   Our nephew Ben and his wife Sammy showed up as a surprise. Now we were almost all together. THe only folks missing were Mary and Johns daughter Ellery who just started colelge at U Mich.. and of course Sam and Dad.   We always feel them strongly when we are all together. 

 

 

We moved outside for music and talk.. beautiful night 

 

 

Gabe was the last to arrive.. he got in at about 11… .. (I saved him some sushi)

Today was our Anniversary .. our 37th !  I love being married to Diane.. We have a truly wonderful partnership. 

We celebrated with  chocolate cake and phish food ice cream.. then headed to the  Round Church for a picture of where we were married.

We’ve come a long way since August 31 1986.

I love you so much Diane !!!!!!

From there we headed straight to the airport for our flight to Minneapolis. We saw our friend Will  as we headed to check in

 

We got to Minneapolis and headed straight to my moms.   

She is just gettign over Covid.. so we’re not stying with her.. but we got in a quick hug took her  to a nice outside restaurant for a late night snack and stole her car to drive to my sister’s. Max and Becky showed up a little later at Marys.

SO begins the 90th birthday weekend !

I’ve kept good notes through the last couple of weeks as i’ve gotten behind in my blog.. but the only things I can recall about this day were .. a couple of mentoring meetings, a xenbox project meeting.. and more prep for my mom’s birthday.

I spent the day cleaning the dust out of my gear (you never really get it all out) . and jumping back into the hosue projects we have goign for October, Diane had made great progress on the front entrance way. The whole first floor is painted includign the windows and doors.. Thats a first in the 41 years we’ve owned the place it looks soooo good (pictures forthcoming). 
I also admired the Near completion of the wood frame that Eliot had tackled (with Dianes help) ..As part of that ,  We have a new roof, a new shed and bunch of storage space up above the wood. It looks beautiful . 

I then started workign on the memory book for my moms birthday. I had to get it in tonight in order to get teh completed book in time for her birthday.. 

So much going on right now.. all good stuff..
