We began the day with a 4AM trip to the airport. And was heading off to Portland to help Gabe and his girlfriend Sam . She was going out to help Gabe and Sam manage all of the stuff that has come into their house following Sam’s dad passing 2 weeks back.
at the other end of the day, our friend Duane was finally coming back from burning man. Our bus Fluffy is still out in Reno getting repaired. Duane was going to drive her back,. but he is heading to England for 3 months starting this weekend. We heard that ge was arriving at 7:20 PM and spontaneously a bunch of us showed up to meet him. it had been a hard burn.. and we wanted to show him how much we appreciate all he did to bring Fluffy in to existence. . I think he was surprised and happy to see us all there
It was nice seeing everyone a gain. We all felt that we needed to get together at least once more before duane headed out.. so we agreed to meet at our house tomorrow night..
I remember in old IBM manuals it was frequently a blank page with the single Sentence that read “this page intentionally left blank”
That always struck me as an odd thing because saying so guarantee that the page Was no longer blank… But it did Signal that the author had intended to make a Visual pause in her or his narrative
That’s what I’m thinking about as I try to recollect this day. As I tried to fill-in for all the missing days of blogging… I cannot recall a single photo, meeting or event that made this day special… And for that exact reason it was special.
‘Diane is in the process of doing some late summer early fall replanting. She planted a Bob who is always lending us a hand was able to pull the thing out of the ground in one piece. It was pretty funny to watch it happen because the Tractor repeatedly lifted in the air is it strange against the stubborn plant
Finally it Decided to let go
The new plant has taken residence and is doing great. Thanks Bob for always having the right tool and the right willingness to help us 🙂
We woke up to a beautiful day. Dan and I did a quick hike Up Libby”s look. It’s one of our favorite hikes and they have put in a new trail. Much more runnable.
