We put in a solid 12 hour day tOday .. diane, gabe, samm, shawn and i worked as a great team.. and managed to get nearly all the house primed. The scaffolding made it SO much easier.. we can quickly climb tot he very top of the house and safely and comfortably work at any level.. such a great investment..

As in all projects, we found soem unexpected issues.. like some bad shingles.. luckily our friend tucker knows just how to fix ’em

Were all learnign so much by doing this job ourselves.. its so fun !

we got a great break today… It was supposed to be rainy but we actually had some breaks of sun.… That allowed us to start getting some primer on things… And finish up all the scraping. It was a wonderful feeling when we were able to roll up the last drop cloth with wet paint chips.… That meant we could drop down a level in precautions. We still are wearing gloves and goggles and Tyvek… But we don’t need to be in respirators all the time and we don’t need to be so careful about the waste….

We celebrated our progress I going to Nearby Portland night market… It’s an evening-based craft sale with really wonderful food carts… There’s an incredibly long line to get in but it went pretty fast… Most of the week was just to be able to get the wristband so you could buy a drink. It was actually packed… I was wearing a mask because Covid is up again here

We ran into our friends DJ and Jasmine there.. Jasmin makes buttons and DJ makes  excellent hot sauce,, and the have a huge pet pig ,. we met them at a party at our friend non -nantucket teds.

*Sigh*… Another day in paradise. It rained most of the day… But that didn’t keep us from continuing to scrape the house… Our goal was to have a completely cleaned up so we can start painting on the first sunny day which was to have been Friday

Only picture I have from the day was this walk to the very muddy Laurelhurst park with nova. She loves going there… Chases ball slides around in the mud and then we come back and wash her. She’s such a cute puppy… We love being with her

we ended the day at a nice smll party at neighbor non nantucket teds.. great chile and mead.. really fu. !
