Wednesday night – everything Ducky !

Diane and I managed to get out for a fast hike around the Safford preserve today during lunch. We got another true sign of spring. The first crocus’s (croci ? )

On the way home we decided to stop by and see Francesca and Veronique to say hello to their newborn baby duck. The duck was hatched last Friday and is the offspring of flippy and flappy… The two domesticated ducks that lived in the Huntington River until our friends Tim and Marie took them in for the winter.… They had one fertilized egg before flappy… The male (I think) ran off .. Luckily he’s come back and they have now six more eggs.

Francesca has named the new baby duck “Donald”… After the duck… Not the ex-president I suspect. He is so cute (again.. the duck, not the ex-[president)

It made me happy to see a new webbed foot neighbor !

Happy Easter folks… ‘Diane was well prepared. She made cinnamon and chocolate raspberry sticky buns for breakfast today… It was so delicious

We are the additional treat this morning of watching ‘Kyle’s mom ‘Tracy and dad John we’re both Congregationalist minister’s give their Easter Sunday service. John and ‘Tracy are getting to be good friends of ours… They have such a nice philosophy of life we really enjoyed watching the end part of the service. It ended with a really nice participatory thing with Kyle’s parents and brother and sister bouncing balloons around . They are wonderful folks… And getting to be good friends of ours.they have a very human approach to religion and life that appeals even if you’re not a christian..

Diane and I use the morning to take down the rest of the storm windows upstairs in the process we uncovered a whole bunch more video tapes that we need to get digitized.… After that we went for a really nice run down Johnny Brooke Road and took the trail back over to Far’s corners. I hadn’t done it and almost 14 years… It was such a beautiful run.

Late this afternoon headed up to Colchester to my friend Mike’s. I’ve been working on rebuilding a 30 foot Touch Sensitive keyboard that homer and I had built for him back in… Gosh, when was it? 2013?… Anyway I had rebuilt the electronics control so it no longer needed a dedicated laptop. It all ran on a raspberry pi for running node red.… We set it up in his basement and it is so fun… I really enjoyed hanging out with him and programming a little bit together. He’s a musician and I’m not… But we work very well together

It was nice to see Mike’s wife Sue and their daughter Tessa.. We had a lovely dinner out overlooking the lake… Sue had made vegan matzoh ball soup with fresh ground horseradish… Just my style

OK… Time for bed. More tomorrow …busy week coming up
