Friday night – Ski bums

Busy week… Though I don’t feel like I accomplished that much. I’m very grateful for it becomes Friday.… My first meeting was not until almost 10 so Diane and I took advantage and took a quick ski around the West Bolton golf course. It was beautiful up there . West Bolton seems like it’s in hidden Valley… No people, no cars… Just lots and lots of snow

As we were driving back we ran into our friend Phil… He looked quite colorful and contrast to the snow

The day passed pretty slowly…

Around dinner time I took a break and we replaced all the glass Lobes on our ceiling fans so that they all match and I’ll fit the larger wirelessly controlled lights. In the process of doing that we found that one of the fans had a badly bent blade. The only explanation is some sort of kid based hijinks somewhere in the last 25 years.… I don’t know what the story was but it must’ve been pretty funny .… Better still we never heard of it… Going to see what I can learn from the kids

High Point of the evening was sharing a beer with our friends Tim and Priscilla.…

OK… Time for bed. More tomorrow

Wednesday (delayed) – Precedented

Sorry for not writing this yesterday… I was a little overwhelmed… In a very good way. I was on a call with some work friends When they said “don’t you have someplace you have to be”… I realized it was time for the inauguration. I turned it on and ‘Diane and I watched it together. It was just what the nation needed to see.… Independent of your politics… Coming together to do the right thing is so important

It’s the way it always has been and the way it needs to be.

I was thinking later in the day how everything these days is been called “unprecedented”… Finally once again we are “precedented

I went upstairs and rang the bell

Monday night – All downhill

Today was Martin Luther King day… Especially poignant this year after all the racial tension. It was the first time I’ve ever had it off as a real holiday… I’m not sure if that’s because I’m officially working in Massachusetts or because everybody is paying more attention. I hope it’s the latter.

Diane and I took off for a couple of hours in the early afternoon to explore the same area around John’s pond up on happy Hollow… But this time on skis. I hate to say it but even after 40 years of cross country ski and still no good at Hills… Either up or down. It was really tough going and I spent a lot of time on my backside trying to climb out of knee-deep snow.… Still it was beautiful up there. The pictures are all of Diane’s camera. Let me see if I can find some I’ll post them later
