Saturday night – brisk !

woke up to 13 degrees (F) morning. Winter is not done yet. !
we headed out dffor a fast libbys hike

we got hoem .. and used the amazing delonghi coffee maker that gabe left us to make some deliciousness..

funny story.. diane had heard an intermittent  really crazy loud noise coming from the basement.. we couldnt figure it out until we realized that I had taken  the front off of our electric panel  the other day when we were tryign to debug our lights.. and i’d put the panel down on top of our dehumidifier.. .. it had setteled on the top in such a way that the vibration of the dehumidifier when its compressor was one was amplifiwd by the metal switchbox plate. mytery solved

.. and even though its still getting cold,  it’s time to take the interior storm windows down… Not so much because its gettign warm (it I. we have soem 60 degree days now !)  but because we can stand looking at all the dead lady Beatles. (they look like ladybugs) they’re trapped under the storm with us. Always fun, moving huge panes of glass.

tonight I lead a ‘show and tell’ session for some hackclub makers who wanted to show off their hardware projects.. we had kids from all over the world. it was amazing to see what these kids have made !!!

nice day

Friday night – Hagis 2.0

How many snow pictures will I have posted from under this winter? Diana and Nowak got out for a quick walk this morning… Nova has a habit of trying to drop her ball into ditches she particularly like dropping it into water. Fun but also sometimes hard to rescue the ball.

Had an interesting surprise at work today. I was heading over to one of our new buildings and I looked out on the runway and saw an Air Force Osprey vertical takeoff airplane.… This is one of the first mass produced planes that took off vertically by pivoting it propellers of work. It’s notoriously complicated and difficult to maintain, but it was very cool. CSean fly over and land and takeoff.

Tonight Diane and I met up with Debra and our friends Anne, Marie and steve at Zenbarn to watch a band called haggis. (2nd music show in a week !)  I think this tour is called haggis 2.0. It’s a really great Canadian band that does kind of Scottish rock. The lead plays bagpipes and sings and they’re all really fine musicians. They mentioned halfway through that they’re releasing an album with Grateful Dead. Celtic covers. Can’t wait to hear that. It was a great night really nice catching up with Ann Marie and steve
