Today was my last working day for the year… Which was kind of nice. We snuck out around noon for a quick hike up Libby’s look… It was in a very low teens so there wasn’t anybody else out hiking. Perfect time to do it
Diane and I had a date night tonight. We decided to go into Williston to get our second shingles shot and pick up sushi. You know it’s a weird night when you choose to go get a shot as your fun night on the town.
I have to say that the folks at the Cvs and Williston did a nice job at making us feel welcome. They had the place decorated with Christmas lights that were in little pill bottles. Too cute !
I’ll spare you the picture of the shots themselves… But the guy there does such a nice job. They don’t hurt until the next day.
Here’s our celebratory sushi… Along with Diane’s badge of honor for her successful shingles shot
Shingle bells… I kind a like that puts me at Christmas spirit. !
It’s the last night of Hanukkah… It’s not a holiday I paid too much attention to usually… But this year the lights seem particularly bright and welcoming to me.… I guess we all need a little sparkle
I just caught the last one going out… It’ll be getting lighter soon
One of my daddy side projects right now is that I am on the education committee for a new science Museum going in in Shoreham Long Island.… It’s the home of the last standing laboratory of Nichola Tesla. He called it Wardenclyffe. I’m part of a group of people who actually bought the old site from a chemical company that I’ve been using it. Over the last 70 years it’s become a dangerous chemical dumping ground.… You can’t currently enter the building without a hazmat suit…but we’re raising money to make it into one of the worlds best science museums. That’s a long story… But today I got this great video of the current state of the wonderful building.… It’s pretty grim… But trust me this is going to be something pretty cool
The days are getting really slow… Everybody at work is starting to just phone it in as we get closer to the holidays in this crazy year.… I know I worked hard today but I’m not sure what I got done.
I think it’s contributing to the slower pace is the drop in temperatures. We’re supposed to get single digits tonight
