Thursday night – – vomit at generator

Tonight was one of the semi annual meetings of vomit… Vermonts own Mit club. I was really excited for it. We were hosting the group at generator. I had worked with Elliot to create a custom MIT themed bottle opener cleverly disguised with the vomit logo

We had about 18 people… I think quite a few didn’t make it because of the snow.

I gave them a quick tour of generator

then we went in to watch Elliot make some of the bottle openers. That was a huge hit

After we handed out the bottle openers we went back into the main room and I gave a talk. I thought it was like the perfect talk for the group… But it seem to bounce off of them. It went OK… But it really was the wrong talk for the wrong audience. You live and learn

Afterwards we all went to great Northern for a nice meal. It was fun catching up with some of the guys. Some I hadn’t talk to you in at least 10 years. There were some great stories from my friend Bob who I worked with 20 years ago. I could’ve listen to him all night.

OK… That wore me out… More tomorrow

Tuesday night – happy birthday NPR

Went for a nice run this morning along the Charles River. As I listen to the radio I learned that today marks the 40th birthday of national public radio’s all things considered. I had to stop and think but sure enough I’ve been listening to this radio show for 40 years. They had some great clips of the early shows and I remember the sound of the program and how it is shifted. Got to hear some old voices like cookie Roberts Bob Edwards etc.

That show really has been the backdrop for so many mornings of my life….

Thanks NPR… For always waking up so much earlier than I do!

Monday night – allourhearts.com

Super long and busy day… Begin with breakfast with John and a task force believe then a drive to Boston, more meetings and some late night slide making.

One cool thing that happened today is that I took the task force call at the generator. My friend Heike was there helping me make some stamps for my new friend Lena’s “all our hearts” project. All our hearts is a memorial project for people who died of opioid dependence disease here in Vermont and beyond. This Saturday at nine Lena is going to get a group of the families together and make stones that are somewhat inspired by Sam stones. She’ll imprint the website on the back of each heart shaped clay rock… Then the family member will write their loved ones name or initials on the front. The van be fired and handed out to about 300 people.

My friend pike was there this morning making the stamps for the website On one of our laser cutters. We made them in a variety of fonts and sizes. I hope the work well

Time for sleep
