I spent the day in the Yoga space with the air conditioner on… It was well into the 90s today… The sixth day of heat. I just can’t function. I did come out around 6 PM for Diane’s wonderful outdoor yoga.
It’s a great way to still do yoga and remain socially distant. Several times during the session it started to rain a little bit .
Last Saturday night our friend Chris had a small gathering to mark the solstice. He did a very nice burning man which he made out of the letter “I” From a burnable version of the word “believe”. It was great to be around people… Even if it’s a distance. Here’s the Bernd somewhat sped up for your enjoyment
Happy Father’s Day to all you dad… And the moms and kids that made us dads. It can be a bittersweet day for me… But more and more it’s Sweet… I am so happy to be the dad of these three boys.
Just got off a zoom call with Max Becky and GabÉ… And thought of sam all day. Fatherhood is such a fantastic journey. I had a really good coach in my dad Hugh
I miss him every day as well…
My mom found this great instructions that he had given us for raising kids back in 2005. He was a great example for being a dad

I also miss my wonderful father-in-law gabe mariano… He was a great friend and mentor to me and my family…
We mark the day really well. We started out with a great pink fish breakfast… And then went tubing on the Winooski with our friends Ellen, ‘Will and Julia. We put in about 2 1/2 miles up river and floated back home. It was a beautiful hot and sunny day. And the water was very low and slow so it took a good long while. Fantastic fun
Later on we went to a nice socially distant gathering for our friends Tom and Elizabeth… They were celebrating their 30th anniversary
Thanks again to all the dads out there… It’s The best job I’ve ever had !
Henry David Thoreau One said something like “every person looks at their wood pile with a certain affection”… (He actually used “man” and “his”) … And that’s certainly true. There’s something about having to stack five or 6 quart of wood… Invariably on the hottest day of the year. But very few things are as satisfying. Somebody else said that heating with wood warms you twice… Once when you cut it and once when you burn it… I’d make that three times because stacking it is no easy chore. Hunter, Kyle , Diane and I Got started on the pile this morning around 8 AM. It was already in the mid 80s outside. It actually went fairly quickly… We have good music and even had a fan to keep the bugs away.… There are a few things as satisfying as creating that much order out of chaos… It actually Defies natural law.
It was so much fun I will share the process with you
Hard to think of it now… But we will really appreciate our collective efforts in the middle of winter about six months from now.
