Saturday night – forehead

Pretty relaxed day here… Around 1 o’clock ‘Diane Kyle and I headed up to Underhill to walk at Mount Mansfield to the forehead. we took the butler trail and then. Wampahoofus. The last part of that trailer is a little rough for me because I’m really afraid of heights these days. It’s just exposed heights.… It’s something I never had as a kid but man it freaks me out now

It was worth the hike… It was beautiful up there… We walked with Kyle about 7/10 of a mile down to Long Trail and then she went on to Puffer Lodge for the night while we went back home

We got home in time to join Tim and Jen at Deb’s house for a really wonderful meal

Now time for bed

Friday night – First’s

Several first today… It was my first post lock down haircut… You may think that someone who has his little hairs I do has no need for a haircut ha ha… Think again. After 2 1/2 months of social distancing I was starting to look crazier by the day… So it was great to go in and see my good friend Deb and get my wings clipped a bit

We also got our first puppy in the garden…. Everybody I know is complementing Diane’s gardens these days… She’s had so much time to polish them. She calls it “flossing the garden “”… Because with things shut down she has time to attend to every little detail

I also had a first first meeting with my friend Doug… I’m very pleased to say we were just awarded a $40,000 grant to help promote first robotics in the state of Vermont. I was pretty surprised that we had actually gotten the grant… I wrote it back in December. This is going to let us really build capacity for First in rural parts of Vermont

Finally… I finally got some ultrasonic imaging Chelle to use with the handheld ultrasonic imagery that I’m using for a project with my brother. Can’t go into the details here… But here’s a little movie of my carotid artery beating

. Kind of cool and kind of creepy. But 100% fun that you can do it at home

It was to have been one of our first Friday outside movie nights… But we’re having some thunderstorms… So we had to scrap that so let’s just say it’s our first cancel movie night… OK that’s it for tonight. More tomorrow.
