Super busy day… Ended with a very nice evening at our house for my friends from the Vaz out reach committee. Our small team gets together to award about $17,000 a year in education grants to Vermont school and citizen scientists.… It’s a lot of work to go through the proposals and write them etc. but it’s pretty rewarding. Every spring we invite all of the teachers and students that have gotten the grants and once you see what they do with the money any amount of work is worth it

I love working with these guys… (they are actually all dies… Our president Grace just couldn’t make the meeting)

Halloween has always been one of my favorite days of the year.. I used ot love takign the boys out for trick or treat.. I think I had more fun than they did. So many greta memories of cold, rain, snow, heat.. everything.. seeing so man friends from town, .. days that were easy. days that were har.d I can put myself In each of those dayts and feel how I felt

The day is always bitter sweet for me now as I remember all being togher.. more sweet now.. 

 

I woke up in Cambridge this AM.. went for  a run.. 

 

then into work where there was a holloween lunch !. Her’s my freind Subhro wearign my stuff. 

 

and my freind Ben trying it on too 

 

Today was the first time we’ve really had no kids at home.. gabes been at school. but still we saw him..around this time of year.. THis year we borred our young freind Finn.. as we’ve done for the last couple of years. so we had an excuse to go out and trick or treat.

Just finished dinner number one with a bunch of folks from the conference I attended tonight. Great conversation on the intersection of technology law and government..  also great  meeting with freinds from mit 

 

Now waiting for my friend Ruchir to show up so I can go out for dinner number 2.. It’s been a very weird day of eating.. I started out with curried okra for breakfast… 

how much weirder can it get ?

Drove to Cambridge early this morning. Listen to the radio the entire way. The attack in Pittsburgh was on everybody’s mind. Maybe this insanity can help us bring sanity in the elections next week.We have to make that so
