greetings from the deliciously cool basement the belongs to my friend Alexey and eLena. I’m out at their house near the starmburg sea south of Munich. Im staying in germany over the weekend because of some talks i need to give monday.

its really nice hanging out with alexey and elena.. they have four beautiful kids and live in this big house with a zillion rooms, stairs, closets , nooks, crannies.

last nught their daughter natasha was having her 11th birthday so there were 5-6 girls from the international school.. it was pretty cool when they sung happy birthday.. you got at least five languages!

 

Alexy and elena and the kids have lived all over the worl.. th two of them are from a small town in russia…alexy went to MIPT..thenthry moved to boston where alexy did his phd in experimental phyoscs at harvard… he did most of his experimental work at cornell.. which is where elena got her degree.. they then lived in Connecticut, westechester, shanghai, Spain, germany., and each time they pick up the language..

elena taught me a cool expression in chineses..”mamahoohoo” it literly means “horse,horse,dragon,dragon” which is a way of saying things aren’t great..but they aren’t too bad either.

good word for use so,eday… but for now im great

just learned that yesterday was the hottest June 21 ever recorded n Munch.. and that todays 91 degrees is probably the hottest it’s ever been on this date..   I dont function weel in heat.. but today was kind of fun..

 

the heat made everything   go buy in a fog..

It’s soltice.. so Blessed be to all my wicca  freinds.. the longest day.. the shortest night.. the sun highest in our skies..

i cwlibrated in the most pagan way I could.. I went out and drank beer fiwith freinds by a lake.. It was still light at 10:30 PM

 

also had soem cgreat voisitors today at the center.. love meeting new folks !

Interesting day here in Munich.. learned lots of new things.. most of them after hours with a beer in my hand.. My facvofires are these new words for my german vocabulary

Got  a great   call from my good buddy John for last minute invite to teh Bob Dylan show in SHelburne tonight.. but I’m half a world away.. Happy to know they’ll all be there together…
And I ended up having a nice evenign out with freinds too >
