Folks,
Friends of Sam are a group of Sam’s friends who raise money to help kids around the world. The FoS are going holding their next fund raiser this Saturday in support of the “Krang Baing Village Project”
The “Krang Baing Village Project” is a non-profit organization to help the impoverished village of Krang Baing, Cambodia. Khem Suong was separated from her
village as a young child, escaped to Thailand looking for refuge, and
there her name was selected in a lottery to come to Vermont. Khem, in
her adult life, has since been reunited with her family in Cambodia.
After visiting them and seeing the poverty in which they live in she
has taken on the mission to help her birth village of Krang Baing. Khem
has been on an amazing journey and you can read more details in the Williston Observer.
Friends of Sam and Talent Skatepark have joined together again for a
“Jam for Sam” event to raise funds for digging wells in Kraing Baing.
Come on by to skate, eat, and listen to music at Talent. Thank you for whatever support you can give.
