Saturday night – fell

Ive been TOTALLY freaked out by work these last couple of weeks. I have some important deadlines coming up and they are weighing heavily on my mind. So heavily that at 5L 30 this morning I was wide awake and staring at the ceiling thinking about work. was determined that might work freak out wouldn’t continue to bleed over into my personal and family life.. so .. after only a couple of hours of work today.. i ‘goofed off’ .. goofing off today meant getting ot with my lovely wife and lovely dogs into the gorgeous, albeit rainy and gorgeous, fall foliage today.. Diane, the dogs and I took a convoluted walk through the preston trail system today.. we tried to traverse it backwards.. but got off on some crazy side trails. It was really beautiful and restoring.. there aren’t too many words needed to comment on these pics.. . I know that ‘other peoples’ leaf pictures. like ‘other peoples’ sunset pictures are pretty boring.. what I want you to see in these pictures is the mental and spiritual relief I had of being in the woods with my loved ones.. (2 and 4 footed)

we did find this very cool ”in to the wild-esque” school bus in the middle of the woods.. what was that about ?

I spent the rest of the day either working or clearing the front entrance , bringing  in wood (it’s fall, after all ) and cleaning out the garage for the cars. The first hard frost is only a week or so away !

At around 7L30 we headed up to Jen and Tim’s to watch the ‘rumble2012’ debate between bill oreily and jon stewert .. .. That reacquired martinis and candy.. both very welcome

hard to describe the debate.. it was hilarious and thought provoking. both men did well.. and I’m proud to live in a country where this type of ideologically nutty debate could happen on line.. I would gladly vote for either of these two men..

ok.. I’m exhausted now.. time for bed..

nite all, nite sam

  1. You guys win on the beautiful fall foliage! Wow! So lovely! Thanks for sharing your pics. I do agree that nature is healing for the stresses of daily life, and can be a powerfully spiritual experience. Chocolate certainly makes things better too. 🙂
