Monday night – on the roof

Greetings from Brooklyn… It's hotter than hell here so I am Trying to sleep on the very top of the roof of the boat to try to catch a breeze I'm just trying to use a sheet hopefully bugs and rain will stay away.

I don't have anyway to post pictures or anything but imagine this:

I'm lying under the radar antennas on this hundred and 50 foot boat right behind the Searchlight. I'm half naked sitting in one of the worlds largest cities and I swear I cannot see another human being. I see buildings in the distance but most of what I'm looking at is the back of warehouses and Just polluted canal. The sky is a milky gray green… Unnatural but kind of beautiful there are about four stars in the sky. There's a breeze that smells somewhere between pizza, garbage, gardens, jasmine, diesel fuel… And believe it or not it smells wonderful

i think I'm hearing garbage trucks backing up but they're moving forward and backwards beeping is kind of like a lullaby.

Also, I'm right under the flight path from JFK Airport in the planes going over some like waves crashing at the beach very big waves and a very nearby beach… But soothing nonetheless

My toes are hanging off the edge in between them I can see the buildings of Manhattan.

What a beautiful spot to sleep

.

Night all, night Sam
