Blissfully quiet day.. besides taking a long nap.  and a trip to the store with the dogs (here’s Chai sporting a champlain makerfaire hat)  the only thing we really got done today was to help our friends Jane and George get their hay in and stacked…

 

 

 

our job was to help load the hay on the truck and off the truck and stack it.. while someone else ran the bailer …

Stacking was satisfying work.. like a puzzle.. Here’s george trying to figure it out.. I managed to fall through a hole in the stack and pulled a groin muscle pretty badly.. I almost blacked out it hurt so bad.. but I managed to shake it ff. though I’ll be walking funny for a week.

 

Later in the afternoon we went over to Uwe’s fo ra party. he lives in such a cool place in Charlotte..    There was a cook out on an island in a small pond..

 

and a treehouse with a 400 year old oak growing out of it..

 

 

 

and lots of kids playing with fire… i like seeing futre pyros .. kinda warms my heart…

 

ok.. now to watch some breaking bad…
