Rare treat this afternoon. My friend and colleague mike trick celebrated his 25 th year at ibm today.. And about 100 prople turnedout to congratula te him. I went to grad school with mike.. And his wife xia-wei. It seems like yesterday I simply cant beleive hes been here that long. Funny thing is that both he and xia-wei look and act. Just Like they did at cmu all those years ago . It was so great. To hear all the stories that mike and everyone else shared today…

Yesterday was a wonderful and heartwarming day. I can’t believe my good fortune to have landed in BTV. Nowhere else is there such a perfect combination of high tech job and Vermont lifestyle. Everyone in that room should be proud of what they accomplished over the past 25 (to 50!) years, and I was proud to be a part of it. It is especially poignant to look back as we move forward through a big transition.
