Ahhhhhhhh im at the end of a long complicated week 15,000 miles, twomthursdays three days in the air , talks, meetings, airport food. Very happy to be vegging out with my girl.
We had a bad sushi dinner ( i didnt know such things were possible in stanford. Avoid sushi tono on university) nice desert surprise when. We met my friend charles and his gf and her friend. Hes here from boston for a talk. Great to see them.
Now going to catch up on sleep.. I'm m on vacation this week.. Yay
I just realized I'm having my second Thursday this week. Thanks to the international dateline I got to San Francisco only a few hours after I left Singapore this morning even though I think I was 29 hours in transit. All I can say is I'm too tired to even think straight.
Woke up this morning at 3 AM after 4 hours of sleep. whent to the airport an have been traveling since. My plane from japan is 3 hurs late.. and I’m struggling to stay awake long enough to get on the plane. Sitting in the united lounge taking walks to say awake..
Just realized I have three hours to sleep before a plane… Had a very good day in Singapore. Met lots of really interesting people and learned a ton. The highlight however was a bowl of Durian after dinner. Durian, if you don't know, is the best possible imaginable combination of sewage andrestaurant. I don't know how to describe it better than that. It smells like something your dog would Roland… But it taste so delicious. Bring a ball into a room and everyone will start to retch… If you ignore the smell it's really delicious!
I really do singapore. The people are wonderful, the food is great, everything is clean and orderly… I'll come back here anytime… If they let me in 🙂
