Friday night – Perfect summer day

Great day.. started with Diane, the dogs and I running Libby’s lookout. Still wet.. but passable now..

Then spent the rest of the day puttering around the house.  Didn’t get much one.. and that felt strangely  good

late afternoon we went out to Jen and Tim’s cabin on the lake.. Such a beautiful and peaceful place..

They have a resident falcon that land on the tree while we were inside ..

Don’t think its a peregrine.. something smaller maybe ?

then down to the doc to watch sunset

\

and then three sets of fireworks.. south hero and north hero included

It was really nice visiting up at the lake. Tim and Jen are great hosts..

We headed home around 9 I dropped diane and deb off at home and went back out to Bob C’s house. He is streaming all three nights of the grateful dead Fare thee welter from chicago.. Great setup.. nice porch, big screen. comfy couches and views of the mountains. What a great place.. Very nice family too

I have to say it was almost as much fun watching this show as being at the one in Ca last week (better having Diane, though 🙂

music and view were much clearer.

It was a fantastic show.. I caught the entire second set and the guy sounded wonderful.

before the encore, Phil Lesh came out and did his ‘donor  rap’.. he explained that he is a liver transplant  recipient.. and tells the story of Cody, the young man who was his donor when he died in an accident. He thanked Cosy and his family.. He said the most important thing hat folks could do was to tell their loved ones that they wanted to be a donor.. / He then asked everyone oin the audience to turn to someone they love and tell them that if something were to happen, they would be an organ donor..

Phil always does this.. .As you know  Sam was an organ donor..and I appreciate it so much that Phil brings this message to all his shows.   Here’s me holding a samstone up ..

what you can’t see is me crying

nite all, nite sam
