Monday night – Bklyn

Had some good work meetings today in Brooklyn.. so Diane got to hang out with Max. It is very nice seeing him in his natural setting.

Some old roommates were there going through their old stuff.. so the backyard which was completely empty last night looked pretty colorful today

We had a late dinner with Max and Tori.. then went by JJ’s to see our old grand Reptar. He’s getting up there in age.. he’s blind now.. but otherwise very fit and active He was happy to see.. i mean smell.. us !

Saturday night – Happy fourth !

Great fourth of July up here so far.. (though it’s raining again now). This morning got a short run in with the dogs then we scooted downtown (if Richmond can be said to have a downtown) to watch the parade. The same crowd was there this year as has been there for the past… .. who knows how long ?!?!?!

maybe the only change is the addition of ‘gluten free’ !

The parade started as it always does.. with this guy from Huntington.. It felt nice and familiar

Ahh.. remembering Abott and rose. Abbot always rode in the parade. He passed away this past year.

tmany floats were throign candy.. even some named after me !

then we headed down to the green to see everyone at the fair

signed up to win a kayak. I love that we only need to give 4 numbers as our phone

check out the survey

Hey.. a zoo sounds great !

\

gotta have a dunking booth @

Then back to our house for a nice hang out.. about 30 folks showed up

Steve brought his solar telescope. The sun didn’t cooperate.. but we did get some peeks

\

Great day.. now I’m off to Bob’s again to watch another night of the Greaftulf dead.   Doesn’t get much nicer than a day like this !

nite all, nite sam  (thinking of you on the 4th.. you always loved it !)
