Today is august 19th .. the day I always mistakingly thought was my dad’s birthday. His real birthday was on the 15th. Not why i had that so mixed up in my mind all these years.. but every year i had to be reminded that i had it wrong.. now this day seems kinda special too.
This Aug 15th would have been my dad’s 86th birthday .we were all together in Wyoming then and got to lift a glass to him…..
funny thing was that dinner was at 11:15.
which he would either have thoguht was funny or hated.. you never knew….
Great day at home working.. cool in the morning, hot during the day.. and now cool again. Crickets outside have changed their song to ‘fall’ .. i can smell it coming..
so nice to be home again after a great family vacation in Wyoming.I love walkign arond our own house.. eating our own food.. scratching our dogs.. nice…
I was only out for 2 days. but that means a ton of email backlog.. goign through it is lots of work.. but also can be fun. for soem reason I heard from several old freinds out of the blue .. Henry, Paul, Jer, Charles, Josh , Jeff.. Good to hear from you all..
Home again after a really nice family reunion in Wyoming. Went out to pack the car about 6 AM this morning and there was our moose.. only this time.. she had a baby with her.. We learned yesterday not to turn your backs on these huge creatures.. and I’ve always heard they’re even more dangerous when there’s a baby with them.. I carefully loaded the sutcases with an eye over my sholder.. they sure looked more cute than dangerous.. but you never know !
