Sundy night – beautiful junk

Beutiful fall weather with a near frost last night .. woke up to crisp air.. we had to get outside.

Went for a three hour hike with the dogs up in Little River.. one of our favorites. We love seeign the

old cellar holes, walls and cemetarys up there. Today I paid particular attention to all the cool old junk that’s still up there..

Any idea what this was for ?

i think this was a kids chamber pot.

part of an old cook stove

lots of old glass bottles.

buckles and a hinge

uhhhhh ?

it was great being up thre.. we took a longer loop than usual.. not many other folks up there..

still mostly green.. but a few reds starting to show up

i grabbed a few apples from one of theancient trees.. yum !

All that junk up in the hills motivated me to come back and tend to our own junk.. I cleaned the garage.. and tidyied up my shop

If this is after it was cleaned.. you can guess how bad it was before !

nite all. nite sam

  1. The first item is an old aerator for soil. It could be pulled or rolled over the soil by a tractor or beast of burden. You can still buy modern ones today and they are still used all around. (I am from Western Kentucky, we grow up seeing all kinds of implements such as these.) Thought I’d offer at least an answer to your curiosity, I know it would have pestered me until I found out what something unknown to me was if I didn’t find out myself. The curse of a curious mind I guess. Hope I helped.
