I was procrastinating big time today.. I had to get ready for a trip to a work conference in Vegas…. and I resisted gettign readdy to leave. I’ve so loved being home for two straight weeks..

My best strategy for procrastenting  is organizing things.. today I attacked the zillions of pens that had colelted in my office and downstairs. One can learn much from the pens you have amassed in ones life..

 

these were from varies points in the world.. japan, slovenia, belgium, croatia and russianfederation

 

these were from hotels and casinos

 

many fromour dentist

soem from workevents

 

soem from uiversities

some from medicine reps.. .. not sure how we got them…maybe the doctors office.

and a huge wad from a bank we dont even use.. whats up with that ?!?

 

then of course there were the bad pens from nowhere

 

 

and the really cool pensfromnowhere.. whats a gel pen anyway.. they write so well !

 

and even one with sentimental value from the movie and play max was in. 

 

 

when I couldn’t procrastinate inside.. we went and procrastenated outside.. We went to camels hump nordic to  enjoy the deep  snow. We ran into our neighbor John H and skied with him.

 

around 3 a car pulled into our driveway.. it was a couple named steven and Sarah who had lived here in the house in the early 70’s.. when they we re young hippies. it was so fun showing them around the house. they were awesome and are helping us connect with some others who lived here. We’re thinking about having a schoolhouse reunion in a couple of years.. .. so these connections are great !

 

dinner we had jane, george. jean. gary and deb overfor mexican food which was fun

 

jane and georgebroaght their dogcider who  we hadnt seen in a while.. she made herself right at home

Todays St Patricks day. and I didn’t even realize it until dinner !   I was If I ever leave this world alive  to think of what to blog about and I remembered this great picture of Sam in his Flogging Molly Shirt.. Flogging molly is an irish punk folks band.. great band..

 

I looked for the picture and realize that I almost always use that picture when I blog on St. Patricks day.. Kind of a funny habit.. FOrgive me for repeating myself.. but I love this picture.. i love this song.. and Ilove this kid.

Long work day.. and still have a late night meeting. Did manage to get outside in the wonderful snow this afternoon with Diane and the dogs.. We had no trouble with the snow on snowshoes.. but it was tough going for the dogs. The snow was more than knee deep even with snowshoes !.. Its the winter I wished for.. come just a little late !

Its the Ides of march.. come.. but not gone..
Funny day. I had a meeting that began at 5AM.. which I attended by telepresense robot.. that was fun !

I took that call out in the lab..so DIane could sleep.. and ended up working out there all day.. It was nice sittign there watching the snow get deeper and deeper.. We’ve had about 27 inches so far.. it’s a real winter wonderland out there !

 

 

 

 

diane just had the great idea to look at the last 24 hours of webcam on my weather station.. well it turns out.. the camera is covered with snow.. but yesterdays is pretty cool.. check out the moon rise.. then watch the camera get snow on it (not burried in snow.. just the lens is covered.
