Just about to land in dulles.. Just spent 9 hours grinding through my email which felt productive. flight is late so will have to run for my plane I think..
Trying to think of soemthign interesting to relate in all of those emails…
how’s this.. in my email today I found that I know two completely different groups of people who have (or will be) doing soemthing totally fun and artsy using the zero gravity simulator.. also known as the ‘vomit comet’ ..
I overslept today… big time. I rolled over to see it was 11 AM.!!!!!… I remember my alarm going off at 8.. but must have managed to turn it off in my sleep . The . good thing is , I had only missed one meeting.. and I was optional to it. At first I was shocked.. I hadn’t done that in… hmmmmm.. in fact I can’t remember the last time I did that. .. or anything close. Before you judge me.. I should say I got off my last work call at 2:30 AM on a day that started at 7AM. I’m not complaining.. it was a tough day.. but it had it’s high points.. lots of cool tech, some good work freind intereactions.. but I had no idea how sleepy I was. I’ve trained my self over the last couple of years to ignore jetlag.. which isn’t a good thing, I guess.
ok.. trying this sleep thing again… lets see how it goes
Hello from Munich.. busy day here. Afterwards was at the Marriot bar having a drink with my friend Lisa when a very familiar woman walked by. I started paging through my mental Rolodex to remember where I knew her from.. was it work ? was it from home.. She new exactly.. She’s one of my favorite fight attendants on United.. She generally makes the Munich/DC run. I have seen her and talked to her so often in that context it took m a second to recognize her in this very different context.
This is Margot.. the nicest flight attendant I know.. I’ve even blogged about her before !
Margot sat down with us for a while and we were able to catch up . Turns out Margot’s daughter blogs too…. and her mom helps by proofreading. . I took a look, you should too.. it’s a beautiful blog with lots of beautiful hair.. and, I must add, beautiful proofreading 🙂
