Ever since Diane stopped doing scheduled yoga she’s been doing “poo up” soup nights on Tuesdays . That way she scheduled them when she wants rather than having to cancel them when she can’t teach. Folks seem to like the arraignment.. we had at least 16 tonight . Class was great and so was soup .

I lead a tour up to see the ghost room. We had many takers !

It’s like having a party every week . It’s the highlight of my week .. and I’ll bet it’s the same for many of our friends

Another beautiful day here today. Still quite cold but I was able to get out with the dogs for a run. Everything is glistening. The dogs are both seeking out sunbeams to lie of them. Here is Satori doing just that

We had a beautiful day here. Cold and bright… In a way that means winter is finally here.

You can see it in the light at cub’s Landing through the windows… Here’s a view of that through one of our cupboards

It was about 11° below zero Fahrenheit this morning when we woke. We got out for a ski with John and Lauren and all of her dogs around one and at that point it was around 9°. Actually that felt pretty good.

Right now it’s about 4° below zero and heading lower. I love the way the air feels when it gets this cold.

Time to tuck my self in

Slow day here . Mostly stayed in .. it was -8F this morning and –9 when we got home just now. I really love it when it’s cold like this. Especially when it’s bright and sunny like it is now . We did get out for a ski.

The sunshine is really amazing this time of year . It adds sparkle to everything

I worked on the flame thrower a bit today then it was time to head I. To town. We met Hannah and Deb and had a great meal at Butch and Babes . Mac and chews pancakes and general tsao’s cauliflower. Yum

Final destination tonight was arts riot for a tribute and fund raiser for our good friends Hannah and Dave at talent skate park. Talent closed a while ago When they lost their lease. They’re hoping to Re-open somewhere soon.. When they reopen they will be a nonprofit collective.Tonight was a fundraiser to support that.

We are so happy to support talent… Our kids… Especially Sam and Gabe… Grew up there. They loved riding the skate park there. They love the gear, they love the people. We all did too. After Sam died,We had several benefits for the Sam Cohn foundation there .

Tonight arts riot was packed. We saw so many people there we knew both up on stage and in the audience. Many families who felt like talent was part of their extended family like we did

Hannah was wonderful and in the middle of everything

Well the bands play they had video clips from The 17 years that talent was open. Lots of kids we knew.

The first band we saw was Swayle

The second band was rough Frances. With our friends the hackneys playing multiple instruments. They were so good. Their Centerpiece is our good friend urion. He used to play with Sam… And eventually took Sam’s place in the dark Knight vengeance band after Sam died. Urion spent many hours Practicing here at the house. He such a fine man now… With a two-year-old daughter and is an excellent musician. Tomorrow he takes off for a 20 day tour of Asia where the band is opening for slayer and Judas Priest all over the Asia-Pacific region. We are so proud of him

It was a great evening… Just got home and I’m waiting for the fire to come up to eat before I can close it down for the night.

Tomorrow it’ll be cold again… Looking forward to it.
