Sunday night – gators

We started off at a brunch with victor and Pina and some family and friends

. ran In to this guy. Took me a We. To realize that his shirt reduced to MIT. He was a graduate from about W20 years back

We all headed back home , then Diane and I went over to meet Vince, Trish and pat , triaged dad

We headed out of town about 40 min to thE shores of the Everglades . There we met back up with Pina and victor for a ride through the Everglades

We all got in a group and we were assigned a boat

Ours was the tata express

We took off at about 60

Mph and 126 dB. (I measured !$

Our guide was very good . He Was a retired veteran and a survival skills teacher. For fun he helps people capture wild anacondas in python’s that are loose in the Everglades. He estimates there are half a million of them out there and they are eating all of the native wildlife. The crazy thing is they all grew out of a small population of abandoned exotic pets.

Our guide and his group called the “swamp apes and “capture these huge snakes…And take them to a local university where they are exposed to a crispr Modified retrovirus the changes their germline to render them and anyone they meet with sterile. Over the years it’s hope that this will reduce or eliminate them as an invasive species.

Our guide was great at storytelling… It was also pretty good at finding cool wildlife. I didn’t see a lot but it was still fun. Like the small alligator

. And some cool looking birds

Our guide reached down and picked up a fish right out of the water

Here’s a bigger alligator

We the. Drove back with Vince Trish and pat .

Dianne and I took the kayaks out for a short paddle. We wanted to see an alligator that gabe and raya had seen. It turned out to be plastic but still scary

Later tonight we all made a really nice fish and steak dinner… Vince and viktor and Pina all came over and we played with a tesla coil and the Veramen

Nice day. !

Time for sleep !

Nite all, nite sam
