Tuesday night – commute

Greetings from down in Cambridge… Which is down early this morning… It’s about 4 to 4 1/2 hours depending on traffic each way twice week. I realize I don’t really mind it. I don’t like being away from home but I like the time in the car by myself. I do you can I think of anything unless I’m on a work call… It’s like one giant meditation both ways. I wish I didn’t have to travel so much for work… But it leastI can turn it into contemplative quiet time.

Sunday evening- house raising

We spent most of this beautiful summer day helping our friend Martha begin building her cabin in Cabot Vermont. She’s doing this build from a kit . There were 8 of us there today working. First order of business was to flip the flirting Ofer after attaching the plywood backing and moisture barrier . We did that using a series of ropes and ratchet come alongs

The thing came out dead level !

We added insulation and the. Put on the flooring

Eventually we started in on the framing , it felt good to go vertical

It was an hour drive back home through a gorgeous Vermont late afternoon. We got home around 7 and got the dogs out for a walk and swim

I love where we live and feel lucky for that

Nite all, nite Sam
