Sunday night – Martha Cabin

End of a nice fall weekend. Highlighted today was going out to our friend Martha’s cabin up in Cabot. She built this thing from a cat… We even helped for a day. (http://johncohn.org/base/2019/06/24/sunday-evening-house-raising/). And no one even got hurt.… It was amazing to see how the cabin had come together. Lots of Martha’s friends were gathered to see her happily living the dream she had. The cabin is beautiful… The land is beautiful… It was wonderful

So cool to see her manifest this from nothing. I’m so happy for her

Saturday night – beyond

We woke to a hard frost. Luckily we brought in all the flowers we could so they survived but everything left outside in the garden got frozen. It’s time

Busy day around the house. Kyle and Hunter helped us Clean and hang the storm windows… Set up a new computer then Diane and I took a nice 4 mile trail run around Preston pond and Libby’s look

This evening we had a fun gathering of the “B’s”: The Bond’s, Borie’s, Barlowe’s, Bressor’s all came over for beyond burgers… The new plant-based meat substitute. They’re very good… I made the burgers but the friends were very good too 🙂

Falling asleep as I type… So better go to bed

Friday night – Presto chango

Busy day today… Interesting highlight in the morning. Today you might recall that we bought a new Prius prime and August 2 of this year. Try as I could get it that I did not love the car. I like everything about it except for the infotainment unit. It was her Renda sleep bad. Everyone on the web edit it as well. And I bought it anyway thinking “it could be that bad… Could it?”…

Well it was.

I try to ignore it… But it actually got in the way of me doing useful work on my commute. It wouldn’t let me do normal voice dictwtion… In the Toyota and tune system was like 1990 software… Buggy and very nonintuitive.

Finally I’ve had enough this morning Diane and I took it back to the dealer which was handy Toyota and saying Albans Vermont. They were so incredibly helpful. The sales guy Zack figured out exactly what we needed to do to trade up to a newer model which had Apple play… Long story short in a few hours we had swap those cars with a financially reasonable and not very painful arrangement. Again this guy Zack Sanders at Handy really wanted to make sure we were happy.… It’s been quite an adventure but I would go back there in a heartbeat

Here are the old car in the new car… Can you tell which is which?…

I can’t… Until I try to make a phone call
