Tuesday night – just Tuesday night

I rarely get to the end of the day and can’t pinpoint what exciting thing happened… But that’s where I am right now. I had a very productive day just trying to catch up with a bunch of work tasks. It’s amazing how much administrative follow up any act of kindness or innovation takes.

I’m now able to see The end of my email inbox… Which I suppose is progress

Let’s see what happens

Monday night – multi lingual

I’m down at Cambridge again. I was in meetings today one and urgent meeting request for 3:30 came by. I knew it would be something fun because it came from my friend Hendrik.

Indeed

I broke out of the meeting I was in and went to the meeting room and there was a group of people and a delicious orange upside down cake… It was a ambush birthday party… So nice! What was really funny is that everybody sang me ‘happy birthday’ in their native language.… I noticed that they were only three of us were English was the first language… We had:

Farsi

Turkish

Hebrew

Russian

Armenian

German

Mandarin

Italian

Arabic

Hindi

And only because the timing wasn’t right I could’ve gotten Portuguese, Spanish, Slovenian, japanese , Bengali, Vietnamese, Korean Too

I really really really love this group of people!

Sunday night – happy birthday to me!

61 years ago I was actually born. I deeply appreciate my parents help with that. I like being this age , In this family in this house, in this town, in the state, in this country, on this world… And with this job and his friends.… So if you’re reading this and you have anything to do with any of that… I deeply appreciate it

I also deeply appreciate all the nice wishes I got today.… Was a fun day

The day started out a little rough… Our hot water pipes froze somehow… We had all the cold water we wanted but it 10 below zero that wasn’t our first choice. We finally figured out what had gone wrong.… We headed to my friend Paul’s for a waffle breakfast and he made me a birthday waffle!

Nice group The folks there

You came home did some work around the house to try to fix the freezing pipes problem… Then get out for a nice short but very aerobic snowshoe in the deep white powder. It was just what I wanted.

Later this evening Diane Kyle Hunter and I made summer rolls… They were delicious

I got a very cool book from GabÉ… It’s the big Lebowski written as a Shakespearean drama… Super funny

Night ended with my favorite apple cake… Diane it made it. Yum

With that inside me, I’m ready to start my 62nd year 🙂

Saturday night – birthday eve

Just finishing up a wonderful birthday eve.… We got about a foot and a half of snow last night so we woke to beautiful white mess. Diane and I we’re heading out snowshoeing and Citori looked at us like we just couldn’t leave her behind. The snow is too deep for chai and it was too cold so she stayed behind but Satori managed to keep up

Mid day we headed into town for some shopping and I bought myself a birthday present… We needed a new guitar in the house. All of our good guitars including Sam’s are now either with Max or Gabe… The only one I have here is one I bought in a pawn shop in the late 70s.I found a really nice mid range Martin guitar. The really nice people at Advance Music gave us a great deal on it. That’s where we do the Sam Cohn musical soul award. They’ve been such great supporters.!

We spent the rest of the day puttering around the house. The temperature was dropping and it stayed about zero… Are use the time to fix ‘Diane’s phone

Around 530 a bunch of us headed to single pebble for a wonderful meal

It was already well below zero when we headed down to phone to hear worm dogs. It was a packed room with people waiting outside to get in. This band just keeps getting better. It was really sweet somewhere in the first set they all sang happy birthday to me. It was so sweet. It was an awesome show

It was 10 below zero when we got home a few minutes ago. I’m just sitting here waiting for the fire to come up so I can go to sleep.

Tomorrow’s my 61st birthday. Feeling very grateful and blessed to be surrounded by family and friends.…
