One of my daddy side projects right now is that I am on the education committee for a new science Museum going in in Shoreham Long Island.… It’s the home of the last standing laboratory of Nichola Tesla. He called it Wardenclyffe. I’m part of a group of people who actually bought the old site from a chemical company that I’ve been using it. Over the last 70 years it’s become a dangerous chemical dumping ground.… You can’t currently enter the building without a hazmat suit…but we’re raising money to make it into one of the worlds best science museums. That’s a long story… But today I got this great video of the current state of the wonderful building.… It’s pretty grim… But trust me this is going to be something pretty cool
The days are getting really slow… Everybody at work is starting to just phone it in as we get closer to the holidays in this crazy year.… I know I worked hard today but I’m not sure what I got done.
I think it’s contributing to the slower pace is the drop in temperatures. We’re supposed to get single digits tonight
Diane and I were lighting the Chanukah candles today when we both had to stop and think about why the day of the week it was . We made a Twitter act to say the day of the week first thing every morning at least until the world gets back to at least a little more normalcy
Another very quiet day around here (… That’s probably the starting line for the last nine months)
‘Diane and I got out for another great hike up in the area around Bamforth Ridge. Now that most of the hunting season is over we can get back to bushwhacking some more. This time we took an old Login or agricultural path that crossed the hiking trail… We can’t find any record of it on any maps… But it’s Shirley some sort of road that’s been in use some time in the last hundred years. It’s long out of use as there are many fallen trees across it… But it’s one of my favorite things to explore an old place like that. We didn’t really see any sign of human contact until way far up where we found a single ribbon on a tree… But aside from that just it was The forest taking back a path that someone had used quite often along time ago
We took the road not taken… And that made all the difference
