Happy Easter folks… ‘Diane was well prepared. She made cinnamon and chocolate raspberry sticky buns for breakfast today… It was so delicious

We are the additional treat this morning of watching ‘Kyle’s mom ‘Tracy and dad John we’re both Congregationalist minister’s give their Easter Sunday service. John and ‘Tracy are getting to be good friends of ours… They have such a nice philosophy of life we really enjoyed watching the end part of the service. It ended with a really nice participatory thing with Kyle’s parents and brother and sister bouncing balloons around . They are wonderful folks… And getting to be good friends of ours.they have a very human approach to religion and life that appeals even if you’re not a christian..

Diane and I use the morning to take down the rest of the storm windows upstairs in the process we uncovered a whole bunch more video tapes that we need to get digitized.… After that we went for a really nice run down Johnny Brooke Road and took the trail back over to Far’s corners. I hadn’t done it and almost 14 years… It was such a beautiful run.

Late this afternoon headed up to Colchester to my friend Mike’s. I’ve been working on rebuilding a 30 foot Touch Sensitive keyboard that homer and I had built for him back in… Gosh, when was it? 2013?… Anyway I had rebuilt the electronics control so it no longer needed a dedicated laptop. It all ran on a raspberry pi for running node red.… We set it up in his basement and it is so fun… I really enjoyed hanging out with him and programming a little bit together. He’s a musician and I’m not… But we work very well together

It was nice to see Mike’s wife Sue and their daughter Tessa.. We had a lovely dinner out overlooking the lake… Sue had made vegan matzoh ball soup with fresh ground horseradish… Just my style

OK… Time for bed. More tomorrow …busy week coming up

it was a heart thumbing quick climb up.. sometime between us hitting this clump of snow going up and going down. a giant wild turkey must have come through and made these prints

a couple of minutes ago we had a surprise visit from games old roommate Henry and his girlfriend Nicky.. they live in Wyoming, but were in town visiting friends.. both are fully vaccinated so we were able to hang out a bit..

So great seeing them !

Thursday night – Happy birthday sweet Diane

Today is Diane’s birthday. Happy birthday to my wonderful fun and loving partner. Best friend and love I could ever hope for.

here she is on her 2nd birthday back in 1962.. She is still such a cutie !

We took it as hike up to near Herrington’s view… It was snowing pretty hard today… By the time we got to the top we were post holing into sometimes the deep snow… Which was hard going… But it was beautiful to be out in the snow… The snow will be gone soon so it was great to have at least one last day in deep beautiful white snow

Debra and Jen surprised Diane this morning by bringing over makings for “Buddha Bowls” one of Diane’s favorites. Kyle and I did all the chipping shop to make them happen. We got to eat them in ‘Diane’s present for herself which was an extension to our fiesta ware collection… I really love how bright these things are . They remind me of pottery we used to have when we were kids.

we then had a Great birthday zoom meeting with the kids… Great to see them

really nice day !

Happy birthday my love !
