cash… Somehow my last night supposed to get up there. I’m trying to remember what I talked about. One is that Diane and I went skiing along the river sure been incredibly cold wind… Well hello zero wind chill… But it was nice to get out.
Fun day at work… One of the highlights was my friend willa and I got to talk to a South Burlington middle school class for an hour and a half. They asked us so many great questions
Then after a long day at work we came home and Diane, Kyle and I took a couple of Laps in the front field… The temperature had risen in the winter died… It was a great place to look at the wolf moon… I don’t know why it’s called that but it sure looks Wolfie
We got beautiful snowfall last night… Much more than expected. I think we got at least 8 inches in the yard which hopefully will stick around for a couple of months. Up in the woods it was closer to 18 inches. ‘Diane and I went for a very nice snowshoe up around Honey Hollow.… We climbed up the road for a while and then veered into the woods. I always like following Diane because she sees everything as a road.… She’s magical at finding nice paths in thick woods . I think she has optimism and vision… Such a nice attributes in a life partner 🙂
Later in the day I took my Van de Graaff into Beta. My mission was to see how my friends the Clark sisters hair behaved. They all have long thin hair that I think I’d be excellent electrostatic material. We had varying results… But I’ll share the pictures when I get permission
It looks like Winter really is finally here. We had some epic cold and now about 8 inches of snow. It’s enough to actually go out and play in.… I actually had to dig my car out coming home from work
The snow plus the MLK holiday made things nice and slow today which was great. One cool thing that happened is that we had our first Duane’s Whirld Meeting this year about building an ark car for burning man…
woke up to another very cold winter morning… It was -12… It warmed through the day but was still quite chilly. Are used the cold weather has an excuse to continue to work on my shop. I still have a ton of stuff to move in there and it’s already full so I’m scratching my head.… Anyway it’ll be a lot better than it was.
Around noon Dianne and I took off and I tap Honey Hollow. There’s a beautiful sunny walk and the trees cut the wind which kept dropping the windchill below zero.…We followed a small trail we never followed before that let off the road… It turns out it led to the site of “Reds cabin”… An old hunting camp that I remember from about 30 years ago. This guy read live there and had been allowed to keep his house even when the land became state managed.… I remember the house burnt down for over 30 years ago. We found the old stone foundation and some of the Stonefencing.… It’s interesting to think what it would be like to live up there 3 miles from the nearest electric line in weather like this. On the other hand it was such a beautiful site
I took a short visit to see my friends Thom and ‘Annie… It was great talking to Tom about all his hobbies.… He’s teaching himself to repair watches… He’s only been in a year but look at what happened
