Monday night – Ice crystals

Woke to a very hard frost. We took an early morning quick hike up to duxbury window. The ground was covered with these feathery ice crystals. The air temperature and humidity where just right foto grow these cool feathery ice crystals.

Sunday night – Heartway of Vermont

Diane got back about midday from her trip down to Endicott. She brught us a book that our freind David had given ehr. He’d found it at a garage sale it was a book called “The Winooski- Heartway of Vermont”   . The book was published in 1949 and is part of a series called ‘The Rivers of America’ .. Interestignly, it had a short 3 page chapter on Thomas Davenport. The Brandon Blacksmith who designed the first patented electric motor back in the 1830s. .. Kind of a cool coincidence !

It was a cool and rainey day. but we decided to take a walk down Dugway. It was part exercise and part PAC (Recreational Parking) work. We were looking for ideas to help the parking situation along the Huntington River on Dugway Rd. We ran into our frind Ben out for a long run a.. enjoyed catching up with him.

we had dinner up at tim and jens with deb, martha, kevin and pat.. ./ Lord skeenen presided

Saturday night – Happy birthday grandpa gabe

Today would have been my late father in law Gabe’s 88th birthday. Gabe was a wonderful and kind man. He loved his family and we loved him.

Diane is down in Endicott for the day so I spent the day here workin on a project. I drove up to my friend MIke’s  to install it.. As I was driving up there I tried calling Gabe our son.. accidentally dialed gradpa gabes number.. it rang.. but I hung up when I realized what i’d done.. was kindof a nice  mixup.
