Tuesday evening – BETA Doc

Woke in the spiral  room, because diane’s cough was keeping her and me awake. It was kinda nice waking in the room .. it was our room for many years, then one by one it was used by all three kids. Diane and Sam painted the spiral on the ceiling.. It brought back so many nice memories

Today was checkup day. Mid last year BETA set up our own Medical clinic. PA Travis and RN Vicki have  a clinic a few blocks away from North Hanger. They offer comprehensive medical services and everyone has been raving about them.   I really like the folks at Thos Chit we use (Jack and GIna) .. and plan to continue to go there.. .. but I decided to get checked out.  Vicky drew blood and travis asked me a bazillion health related questions. They also have a very cool  body mass and strength  testing device.     I really enjoyed working with Vickie and Travis..  I got all the lab results the next day (I’m wiritng this several days later) .. and got a clean bill of health.   All of my blood panesl looked good and my body mass, strength, weight  etc looked good. The only changes Travis suggested was to drink more water, go back to taking soem vitamin D 12 supplements and do a few more triangle pushups to get my muscle mass up a bit. I lreally iked workign with Travis and Vicky..  They even had great music playing the whole time. Turns out that Travis is a big deadhead like me.. we even  both had on our dancing bear socks…

This is such a great service ! Thank you BETA !

Monday night – Game Day

Today was a big day at work. We were hosting the BETA Board of Directors for their quarterly meetings. These meetings are great drivers for our small team. We always want to have some  new demos to show the board. so we get lots done in prep. This time we had lots of good stuff to show. .. We’re particularly proud of our new aerodynamics demo which is based on a 1949 desk top wind tunnel.  There was lots of good energy around this meeting

The meeting was in the early evening. One hillights was that one of  interns, Ben and two of his friends from Berklee College of Music  provided the music. They were SO good !

Cant go into the details of the meeting here.. but it was really interesting. Food was great.. thanks to Tim and his team.

I was very happy to be there !

Sunday night – nice and quiet

Diane came home early from her visit to Endicott because she’d came down with  a sore throat.  She’d actually tried to drive home yesterday, but had to turn around due to bad weather.  It was nice having her home early.   We spent the day at home ..   Nice and quiet befoe a busy week

Saturday night – jump start

Woke up to -8 .degrees. Diane called from Endicott… She has a sore throat and she started to drive back but there was too much snow so she turned around. I’m sad she’s not feeling well. Shes goign to come home tomorrow.

I had a pretty busy day planned today. … But it wasn’t going to start as early as I thought. I’d manage to leave a light on in the car and the battery was completely dead this morning… I was supposed to go in and meet my friend rebar but the car wasn’t budging… He kindly started heading towards the house to help me start the car but then I realized I have my electric go kart that is built out of some old electric wheelchair parts that my friend Larry gave to me.… It wasn’t easy but I was able to use my 20 year old electric go kart to jumpstart our CRV… Pretty funny.

Aaron made it out to the house just after I got things running… It was a nice time to catch up with him.

Aaron and I still have some work to get done before Monday’s board meeting… And I also was going to meet up with my friend gizzo to start working on some fluffy stuff… It turned out the stuff at beta took all day… Finally got home around 8:30 PM
