Saturday night – jump start

Woke up to -8 .degrees. Diane called from Endicott… She has a sore throat and she started to drive back but there was too much snow so she turned around. I’m sad she’s not feeling well. Shes goign to come home tomorrow.

I had a pretty busy day planned today. … But it wasn’t going to start as early as I thought. I’d manage to leave a light on in the car and the battery was completely dead this morning… I was supposed to go in and meet my friend rebar but the car wasn’t budging… He kindly started heading towards the house to help me start the car but then I realized I have my electric go kart that is built out of some old electric wheelchair parts that my friend Larry gave to me.… It wasn’t easy but I was able to use my 20 year old electric go kart to jumpstart our CRV… Pretty funny.

Aaron made it out to the house just after I got things running… It was a nice time to catch up with him.

Aaron and I still have some work to get done before Monday’s board meeting… And I also was going to meet up with my friend gizzo to start working on some fluffy stuff… It turned out the stuff at beta took all day… Finally got home around 8:30 PM

nite all, nite sam

  1. I have 2021 subie. The new cars have considerable parasitic load even when the car is off. My car’s battery has gone dead many times, I’m sure the battery is toast ie won’t hold a charge anymore. You might not have left a light on is what I’m saying. If you don’t drive’em every day the batteries get depleted. I have done almost the same thing, I used my garden tractor to jump my car. The power management system doesn’t account for low usage or it just sucks. I recently bought an AGM battery about to install it.
