Sunday night – Yoga and Sushi

Today was really fun !> It began with a group of Gabe’s freinds from work coming over for yoga at 10.. that ended up being a. fun. hang out that lasted almost to 3 ! We had Sylvia, Inez and Nadja . They are all in Gabe’s program here. Nadja is a post doc like Gabe and Sylvia and Inez our PhD students. Pretty international and crowd Nadja is from Germany so he has from Italy and has his from Argentina.

It only took us a few minutes to rearrange the common room, so it was a perfect little yoga studio. We had plenty of space for the six of us..

Diane made muffins for us, we noticed that they were called ‘American style’ !

the yoga class was really nice and relaxing. Diane oy does such a great job of meeting people where they are. After The Yoga, we had muffins and coffee and talked and talked and talked and talked and talked. It was so much fun. One of the things Gabe showed them was his “let’s do it” video that he and Max made about writing Gabe’s thesis.

We met up with abes freind and Coworker Marrtin (called Martin Jr to distingush him from the main PI of the lab Prof Martin Eiler_. and his GF Kristen and their dog..

we kept eating plums we found.. even after diane found a worm I one of hers.. hey. its protien !

around 5 we headed out for another long explore on our way to our favorite sushi spot.. Gabe onve again showed us a new array of footpatchs that allowed us to go long distaces without hardly every touching a road with cars..

there were soem cool views of Würzburg, Gerbrunn and Hubland.. like this kinda cool looking recycling plant

our final goal was our favorite Japanese Aiky .. if you would’ve told me that one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in the world was in an office park in Holland Germany I would have not believed you but we do love this place. Food is fantastic and fresh service is great. Presentation is wonderful… We try to get here at least once every time we’re in town.

it’s in the same building as a foundation that is run by basketball superstar Würzburg home buy Dirk Nowitski

walk home was so beautiful !

including a stop at our favorite, very weird vending machine… It has all sorts of weird candy and food and vapes and even musical lollipops. I kid you not.

great day.. TOmorrows our 40th anniversary !!!!

nite all, nite sam
